The Gathering Table

DATE: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

TIME: 1-5pm

There's a lot going on in Darius's Garden at All Peoples'! Yes it's cold outside but we're bundled up and tucked inside the Omega hoop with a plethora of produce and dairy and bakery offerings! We've seen an amazing turn from being a food desert garden to being a food justice garden & Stand!

Food justice (thanks Just One More Ministry) by not letting our landfills be piled with items straight from trucks that never even got on the shelves! Much of the food organic! And from Jelli's Orchards where we picked thousands of apples! Then those apples were given to our neighbor ladies and the bakers of St John's Lutheran Church and then gifted back as Thanksgiving pies!

It's heartwarming to see all the people coming together to take care of our Earth and our people. So Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 3:00 p.m. We open up the alley side doors of the Omega Hoop and offer fresh food to our community and our congregation and our friends. Over 2,000 people come by at some time between May and now. some people feel they should pick up nothing because they don't need it to be free but we remind them they take the products also as part of food justice for the food in the farmer in the baker!

As we evolve we have so many new team members! Bonnie, Kevin, Stephen, Kathy, Debbie, Ashton, Ashley, Tammy, Veronica, Amber, Pam, Ben And this goes on and on. We are truly blessed! We've even had the inspectors from the city health department come out and sing our praises for the way we are being Covid safe! So come see us sometime and take some produce, dairy, bakery home knowing that you're doing your part caring for our Earth.

Remember "If we don't move the food we can't accept the food!"

Isaiah 55

DATE: Wednesdays

TIME: 11am-1pm

The prophet Isaiah calls out to God’s people to “come, and eat!” Isaiah invites us to “Seek God where God is to be found.” This passage inspires the ministries we offer every Wednesday.

With our current restrictions due to COVID, we have shifted this ministry to providing Food Pantry to-go. Guests are welcome to sign up in the church office ahead of time to reserve their bags of food for their household. We do not have any restrictions based on zip code.

Please note that when you come to pick up your items on Wednesday, you must be masked and you must bring with you your drivers license and a piece of mail from your current address.

Harambee Agri-hood

The Harambee Neighborhood is already buzzing with urban ag activity. In addition to the Peoples Orchard, the All Peoples Community Garden and the All Peoples Urban Greenhouse, we are home to the Victory Garden Initiative, the Growing Power Cafe, the 5 Corners Farmer's Market and lots of Milwaukee Urban Garden community gardens and other garden spaces.

New efforts are underway to unite these groups and identify our neighborhood as an AGRI-HOOD.
